"My Attitude, Your Problem"

Our Life with Johnny

This is dedicated to our son. We shared a life full of love and laughter that truly brightened our lives. We would like to share his life with you, the joys of his laughter and tears of our heartache when God called our child’s name.
“When you loose someone you love so much they never truly die for they will live on in your heart and in those you share their memory with.”
Thank you for helping to keep our son’s memory alive.

At 2:44 PM, October 27th 1987, I met my best friend. Our son was born. He weighed 7lb 3oz and 21 ½” long.
The first time I held him in my arms, I cried. My son meant everything to me. I was a proud daddy that day and through the years I became even more proud of the young man my son became.
Being a first time mom, I was so scared. When my Johnny was born all those fears went away. Looking into his eyes I knew my life would never be the same I felt a love I never knew before. A love I will never forget.
Our first night home together no one got any sleep. Johnny would not stop crying. I tried everything I knew. Soon I was crying along with him. A song called, “I Had The Time Of My Life” was playing on the radio. With tears rolling down my checks I started to sing it to him. Johnny stopped crying and just stared at me with those big brown eyes. My tears turned into tears of happiness that God entrusted me with such a precious gift. I thought to myself, from the moment I laid my eyes on him to that very moment I had truly had “The Time of My Life”. I found a love I never felt before and the one thing I could never get enough of…
“I Had The Time Of My Life” was the last song we played the day we laid my dear child to rest.

The years seem to go by so fast and Johnny grew into happy toddler. Johnny’s mommy, Jody and I went our separate ways but always stayed close friends. Johnny was my every thing, my world. I always stayed involved with his life. Spending every chance I could with him. I didn’t want to miss out on a single thing.
Johnny was the first grandchild on my side. Being a girl and only having sisters my dad loved finally getting his boy. Even though he was not the only grandchild with his dad’s family, he was spoiled terribly by everyone. His Grandma’s adored him and he was each of his Grandfathers lil’ man.
Over the years there was allot of people in and out of our lives but one thing remained the same, they all fell in love with Johnny. Our two families had grown but we all stood very close.
Our families shared allot of birthdays and holidays together. Johnny’s happiness meant everything to us.
Johnny had two cousins that he grew up with, one from each side of his family, Chaz and Victor. They were more like brothers. Their bond only got stronger as the years went by. If Johnny wasn’t with one he was surely with the other.
At the age of 8, Johnny was hospitalized. When I arrived I asked his mom if she told the doctors of my families hereditary heart condition; Long QT Syndrome - Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes (SADS)
. Johnny was tested and it was determined that he had Long QT-/ SADS, which is a disorder of the electrical system of the heart.
. Johnny was very active in sports, Football, Baseball and Karate. We were told all this had to stop. Johnny’s life was forever changed.

On Monday December 13, 2004 , Johnny lost his battle with LQT.

Johnny was a happy, loving and caring young man
He was a junior attending Skyview/Alternative 1 High School.
In the coarse of his short life, his passionate ambition to launch a fighting career drove him to succeed in becoming a member of the “Team Torture” fight club, which is part of the No Holds Barred Association fight circuit.
In November 2004, Johnny had his first fight and became undefeated with a
48 seconds record.

He would train day and night and attended church services
with his trainer, Joe Trujillo.
Johnny also enjoyed playing video games and competed in matches.
He was extremely artistic. He won several art competition and had one of his drawings displayed at a gallery.

He loved harassing his siblings, spending time with his family and his dog, a Siberian Husky named Nani.
Johnny was a loyal best friend to Brian Gates, Johnny Brownie, Paul Ortega, his trainer, Joe Trujillo and his two cousins Chaz Stone and Victor Muniz.

Johnny is missed dearly by
His mother, Jody Sanchez-Aguilar and Step-Father Damian Aguilar
His father Alan and Step-mother Amanda Gallegos.
His brothers and stepbrother Joseph, Gilbert and Darian,
Sisters and stepsisters Desiree, Cassandra, Natashia, Andrea, Aubrey and Kaeli
And his dog, Nani

Johnny will forever be remembered for the joys of his laughter, his crazy wise cracks, his practical jokes, his warm smile,
But most of all for his LOVE!!
